NAU-Visit with Hannah!

So my youngest sister Hannah goes to NAU, and there was a parents weekend...well my parents are on the other side of the country and couldn't make it so Jerry and I packed the kids up in the car and headed to Flagstaff!!!!  The above picture is Hannah and I in front of Old Main.  Why do we have so many pictures in front of this building do you ask?  Well, beside from it being a cool building, it was also the very first home I ever knew!  My parents were Resident Hall directors in what was then a boys dorm.  That's where I came home from the hospital!!  Sweet huh?  Anyway, we had a bit of a family photo op.   as well.  I just love going there in the fall!!!  Weather was crisp, the colors were vibrant....we had a great time with Hannah girl!!!!

There was also a Navajo Indian festival going on while we were there...the kids were mesmerized by the dancers!!! They hardly blinked!!! lol

All in all, good times had by all!!!

Halloween 2012

Halloween was super fun.  Brinley wanted nothing to do with "princess or fairy ANYTHING" which I love!! She wanted to be something that ROARED!!!!

So Cheetah it was!  She was so cute.
Cohen only had eyes for Spiderman!!!!

They ran around in their costumes a week before and a week after halloween.  I'm pretty sure that Halloween and Christmas are their favorite holidays!!  Enjoy the pictures!!!

Cohen had a Halloween party at school.  It was Adorable.   Brinley loves any chance she gets to go to school with her brother!!!

Of course there was pumpkin carving!

And then good ol' fashion Trick or Treating!!!
Cohen was very excited that he got to show Brinley "The Ropes" to trick or treating this year!!!!

Brinley caught on pretty quick, in fact she didn't stop at just going to houses for candy...she stopped a few teenagers and said "Trick or Treat" and ....how do you deny these baby blue eyes!!!?  They gave her their own candy.  Yep.....that lollipop is evidence.  Girls got skillz.

This is the daughter of a friend that lives around the corner of John and Barb....they were two peas in a little pod that night!!!

This skeleton screamed as you came close....
as you can see Cohen was a huge fan....NOT!

I LOVE CANDY!!!

 Love my munchkins!

 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Arizona Update

Well,

WE ARE HERE!
We stayed with my Uncle John and Aunt Barb (John is my dad's brother) for 2 months while we house hunted and got situated .
Words can't express our gratitude to them for  letting us do that.  It was so helpful.  And the kids LOVED getting to know them....my grandpa...also visits and he had never even MET Brinley ...He bought Cohen a Pirate Ship and Brinley a Cinderella Doll and they could not put them down.  It feels good to be around this side of my family.  It has been quite awhile.
So I had a funny Cohen story about the Temple.  We have taken them a couple times to the visitors center...and they love it...we saw a few couples taking pictures for their wedding...and we explained to Cohen than mommy and daddy got married in a temple like this in Las Vegas. Cohen didn't say much...so that was that....a couple weeks later...Jerry and I were going to do a session at the temple...John and Barb were going to babysit the kids....Cohen saw me take my white temple dress....and immediately had a melt down...I said  "Cohen, what is the matter"...He said..."I want to go to the temple!!!"  between sobs...he said "Are you getting married?"  I said.."Me and daddy are already married...we go to the temple now because we want to remember the promises we made to Heavenly Father"...He continued to cry saying he wanted to go to the temple...We promised him that we would go the next day.  Well the next day...we get dressed....and Cohen starts freaking out again..."Cohen what is the matter?"  "Go get your dress!! (MEaning my white temple dress)...."  I said...."Cohen I only wear that when i go INSIDE the temple...."  Cohen keeps crying saying "I want to get married!!!!!!!" lol.  The kid is killin me:).  I eventually convinced him that he has to wait till he gets home off his mission and then...it can't be me because I'm married to daddy.....well and other obvious reasons that we can visit when he's old enough to understand :).  Anyway.  It was very cute.....maybe not for him...but I got a good laugh when he wasn't looking!!!

Anyway....we got him enrolled in pre school.

He's getting way too grown up,WAY to fast.  Anyway, here is the start to a new adventure!
